It was an interesting event, lots of lovely girls and some very creepy guys and the producers mixed in... I simply could not walk around with my camera it made me feel like one of the creepy guys. So I brought my portfolio around and my ipod and showed my work and chatted with people.
I got to meet two famous people that I stalk on LJ (I'm a nice stalker) I quietly read their journals and live vicariously through their adventures

Kumimonster and Steve Diet Goedde.
Since Steve Diet Goedde had posted on his LJ to come by and say hi I did just that. Being the nice stalker that I am I introduced myself and admitted I was an LJ stalker and that Iw as in fact doing as he requested. He was nice and laughed and was not creeped out by me. Kumimonster even offered me a snack from the table apple on a stick dipped in chocolate. She commented that she thought she posted to much and I told her no never enough for those of us reading her journal her adventures are a lovely treat.
In pure creepiness I asked Steve Diet Goedde if he would look at my portfolio he said sure and was very nice. He even commented on a few of my shots. At that point my brain happily went fuzzy and I don't remember anything other than being quite embarrassed. My friends came over and we got tee shirts and floated away on a cloud at that point. I am totally a dork.
Considering that the last time I attended the event was three years ago I was shocked to find that quite a few people remembered me. Mostly I am sure it is because I was just about the only woman photographer there. I made a dozen lovely contacts and reconnected with several people I had lost touch with, got two new projects and lots of hugs and cuddles. I got to shoot with a very cool photographer Jack Watson -
